Property Location & Accessibility

The Canasta Dorada property is located in the northwest corner of the State of Sonora, Mexico, near the Municipality of Caborca, in a gold-bearing province extending from southern California through northern Sonora along the Mojave-Sonora Megashear. The south east boundary of the Property is contiguous with AuRico Gold’s El Chanate Mine (1.7 million ounces). Mines along this well-established trend include Mesquite, Picacho Herradura, La Choya, El Chanate and San Francisco. The primary target areas on the Property are approximately 28 km north of Caborca, and are approximately 285 km north of Hermosillo and 190 km southwest of Tucson, Arizona. Caborca is the nearest town to the Property with a population of approximately 70,000 and is located along Highway 2, the major two-lane highway across northern Mexico. Access to the Property is via a graded gravel road for 4 km north from Caborca, followed by improved dirt ranch roads for 18 km to the Property. It can also be reached by Sonora Rte 27 that leads from Caborca to Arenoso and provides access to the north side of the ranges. The total property position controlled by Highvista consists of approximately 240 km2.
